Send an estimate to a customer for approval

Overview

Email an estimate to the customer so they can review, approve, or decline from the portal link.

Before you begin

  • Estimate is saved with customer, property, and pricing.
  • Customer has a valid email on file.

Steps

  1. Open Estimates and click the estimate to open the detail screen.
  2. Confirm customer, property, lines, and total are correct.
  3. Click Send (or Send to customer).
  4. Confirm or update the customer email in the send dialog.
  5. Add an optional message to include in the email.
  6. Review the preview or summary, then click Send / Confirm.
  7. After success, the status updates (e.g. Sent); you can close the detail view.

Verify it worked

  • Estimate status shows Sent (or awaiting approval).
  • Activity or history notes the send time; the customer receives the email with the portal link.

Troubleshooting

  • Problem: Send button disabled.
    Solution: Add customer email or complete required estimate fields.
