Create an invoice from a job or estimate

Overview

Bill a customer by creating an invoice from completed work or an approved estimate.

Before you begin

  • Customer with billable job or accepted estimate.
  • Document settings configured (logo, terms).

Steps

  1. From a Job or Estimate, click Create Invoice, or go to Invoices → New Invoice.
  2. Select customer and line items (or import lines from the job).
  3. Set due date, tax, and memo.
  4. Save and optionally Send by email.
  5. If Stripe is connected, ensure online pay is enabled on the invoice link.

Verify it worked

The invoice appears in Invoices with the correct total; the customer email sends if you chose send.
