Set property-based pricing for a service

Set property-based pricing for a service

Audience: Owner
Plan: Pro
Platform: Web
Time to complete: ~10 minutes

Overview

Price a service by property size (square footage or area tiers) so estimates and jobs use the right rate automatically.

Before you begin

  • Services exist in your catalog.
  • Property measurements are saved when tiers use area (see measure-property-toolbox).

Steps

  1. Open Settings → Services (or Services in the sidebar).
  2. Select the service to edit (or create a service first).
  3. Enable Property-based pricing (or Use property size for pricing) for that service.
  4. Click Add pricing tier and define ranges (e.g. 0–1,000 sq ft, 1,001–2,000 sq ft) with a price or formula for each tier.
  5. Save each tier and Save the service.
  6. Optional: create a test estimate for a property with a known size and confirm the line price matches the expected tier.

Verify it worked

  • The service detail shows Property-based pricing enabled with your tiers listed.
  • A new estimate or job line for that service picks the tier that matches the property measurement.

Troubleshooting

  • Problem: Wrong price on estimate.
Solution: Update property measurements in Toolbox, then refresh the estimate line.
